Woodstock has much to see, excellent shopping and the Marsh-Billings National Historic Park. This well-preserved town is in the 'top ten' list of 'best villages' in the country.
Cross country and downhill
skiing are close- Killington, Okemo, Suicide Six, and Quechee
resorts for downhill; Hartland and the Woodstock ski Touring
Center for cross country trail systems. In the summer excellent
golf is available at Woodstock Country Club, Crown Point Country
Club in Weathersfield, Windsor Country Club and more.
Across
the river in New Hampshire you can visit America's most famous
sculptor's home and studio at the Augustus St. Gauden National
Historic Site. The museums and theatres at Dartmouth College
have continuous programs through the year. The nationally known
Montshire Science Museum for children and 'kids at heart' is
across the river from Dartmouth College. Horseback riding, canoeing,
country auctions, flea markets, summer theatre and other summer
activities are all in the area..
